These later turn brown on the surface or can be hidden just under the skin.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This natural change in colour also occurs when you peel an apple and then leave it for a while. The flesh loses its whiteness, but the rich flavour and nutritional value of the apple are unaffected.
